Bobbie "Bob" Earl Jackson, age 90, of Austin, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. We find comfort in knowing he has gone home to be with his Lord and Savior.
A veteran of the United States Air Force, Bob served his country for 21 years with honor and dedication before retiring in 1974. The values he carried from his military service – integrity, commitment, and quiet strength – guided him throughout his life. After his retirement from the military, he went on to work for the Texas Highway Department where he retired for the last time.
On December 2, 1955, he married the love of his life, Beverly. Together they shared an extraordinary 70 years of marriage, building a home grounded in faith, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Their union was a testament to enduring love and partnership.
He was a devoted father to his children: Bobby (Toni), Jana, Stacy (Chris), and Jeffery (Laurie). His greatest pride was his family, and he poured his time, wisdom, and steady presence into each of their lives. He was also a cherished grandfather: Nicole, Michelle (Matt), Kaitlyn (Stewart), Jake (Hannah), Trevor, Shelbi, and Gavin and great-grandfather: Peyton, Jay, and Blakely (on the way), leaving a legacy that will continue for generations. He was our rock and will be missed immensely.
An avid lover of baseball, Bob played baseball and later fast-pitch softball throughout his life. For countless years, Bob dedicated himself to mentoring young athletes through the Delwood Optimist Club, coaching youth baseball, football and basketball. He and Beverly also taught many young people to waterski at retreats with Windsor Park Baptist Church. The impact he made on those lives is immeasurable. He loved sports, time spent at the lake, and the peace of the outdoors.
A man of strong faith, he lived his beliefs daily through kindness, humility, and service to others.
He will be remembered for his steady guidance, warm heart, sense of humor, and the example he set as a husband, father, friend, and mentor. His legacy will live on in all who knew and loved him.
He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.

Visitation will be held at Cook Walden 6100 N Lamar Blvd., Austin, Tx. 78752 on March 4, 2026 from 6-8pm. Graveside service will be held at Ft. Sam Houston, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, Tx on March 5, 2026 at 10:45am.
