I was introduced to Charles "Chuck" Redmond in late January of 2016 when I attended a model train club. As a ranking member, Chuck seconded my membership. This is when getting to know Chuck started. He had a very friendly and jovial personality. I loved listening to his stories and adventures. He had a lot of authentic knowledge about trains and instilled in me a need to pay attention to modeling details. He also shared with me his love of flying through his stories and even through a personally guided tour at the flight simulator building where he either taught or tested. Chuck was a friendly person and he will be missed and remembered. My condolences to his wonderful and patient wife Grace and to his surviving relatives.

What a "hoot" it was to have
"Butch" as a friend in high school. We have remained close friends especially since our 50th year class reunion. We will really miss his presence at our monthly high school luncheons. Such laughter we have shared!

Chuck was a class act; always smiling, the life of the party, with never a harsh word to say about anyone. He was the consummate aviator, yes an aviator, not a mere pilot. Blue skies and tailwinds my friend.

I met Chuck through aviation. We both had a passion for flying. We became friends belonging to Quiet Birdmen, Charlotte Hangar. We made several trips together going to Oshkosh, WI for the EAA World Convention, Chuck was always "The life of the party". I´ll miss you brother Chuck.
