Donald Boniface Obituary

Boniface, Donald R

July 18, 1935 - July 28, 2025

Donald "Don" R. Boniface, 90, passed away on July 28, 2025, in Overland Park, Kansas. Don was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Russell and Hazel Boniface on July 18, 1935. He grew up on "The Hill" and attended Southwest High School. After high school, Don went to the University of Missouri ("Mizzou") on a football scholarship. He graduated from Mizzou with a business degree and then built a long and successful career in the insurance industry. He married his college sweetheart Tippy and had two children, Bonnie and Barry. Don loved his family, his church, as well as his friends. He loved spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks as well as following his favorite sports teams which were the Missouri Tigers, St. Louis Cardinals and Blues. He was very involved in the Masonic Shrine and loved being part of the Jesters. He always had a story or a joke and never met a stranger he didn't like. Don is survived by his wife, Tippy, children Bonnie Stuck (David), Barry Boniface (Lora), grandchildren Lindsay Kuhn, Austin Stuck, Morgan Miller, Madison Boniface, Brittany Boniface and four great grandchildren Finley Kuhn, Thompson Kuhn, Anderson Miller and Evans Miller. A private family gathering has been arranged. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Shrine Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. 1-844-739-0849 www.lovetotherescue.org/memorial-gifts/.

What a wonderful person I had the pleasure to know for over 20 years. Don was my buddy and I enjoyed talking with him and Tippy on the phone and at the office. He had a wonderful life and has a beautiful family that he loved dearly. Tippy you know how much I love you both. My sympathy and prayers are with you and family.
Love , Patty.

To Tippy and Barry,
Most recently I ran into Don at Rapid Roberts Gas Station at the Lake and
we remembered the good old Delta Hockey games. He was always
funny but a true Gentleman. My condolences to the Family, Joan Kemp

My sincere sympathies to all who knew and loved Don. He was not only one of my dad´s closest friends, but also his trusted business partner. I have such fond and lasting memories of working alongside him-his wisdom, his humor, and his kindness left a deep impression on everyone around him. He was truly one of a kind.

Sending love and comfort during this difficult time.

Don was an amazing human being. So incredibly funny, we always said that we were going to put together a book of his many hilarious sayings. There were too many to list here, but "that dog don't hunt" comes to mind first. We spent a lot of time together at the Lake. He was the one who convinced my dad to buy a place there. We worked together for many years and he taught me quite a bit. He was very loyal to his friends. I thought about him often in the days since we parted...the last time I spoke to him was at Emil's Celebration of Life. He's now reunited with the "gang" and heaven will never be the same! God Bless his family and friends - all wonderful folks. Thanks for the memories, Don, gone but NEVER forgotten!
