My experiences with Phil mostly revolved around pickup games of all s(p)orts. Whiffleball, baseball and football as kids. Then basketball became the "life sport." We both limped on into our early-50s. Even then, Phil was a formidable power forward. Inch-for-inch and pound-for-pound one the all-time great rebounders.
Most important: through all these playing experiences, he always revealed himself to be fair, unselfish, self-deprecating and witty. Irreplaceable man.

Gwen and families. Bill reached out so many times through St. Vincent de Paul or painting our inside of the home We have the fondest memories of a gentleman coach and human Phill could restore humanity with his kind words. Blessings as you heal and live within those special memories.

"Everyone that knew him, loved him."
Perfect.
Gwyn, so incredibly sad to see this bright and very unique light diminished. This is a tough one. The laughs and tears will surely collide as struggle together, always forward.

I didn´t know you well, but your name was like a legend in high school. You were a significant member of the "guys"
This is a loss, and I´m very sorry, Gwyn.

Gwyn
You and your family are so much in my thoughts and prayers. How I ache for all of you. I wish I had the words.
I just know that you and Phil had one of the great loves. It was palpable even though I have seen so little of you. And what a legacy the two of you have created in that beautiful family!
I just want you to know that today I send all the healing light that the universe allows.
I will see you Wednesday.
