Lee Comeaux Obituary

Lee Joseph (Joe) Comeaux, a resident of Lakeland, LA, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024 (the birthday of his late wife Theresa) at Pointe Coupee General Hospital surrounded by his family. He was 85 years old and was retired from Pointe Coupee Parish Police Jury as a heavy equipment operator. He was an avid rabbit and deer hunter and a Dallas Cowboy fan. He enjoyed cooking dinner on Sundays for his family. He is survived by his three daughters, Angela Gosserand (Morris), Rhonda LeCoq (Jay), Amanda Baum (Byron); two sons, Tommy Comeaux Sr. (Jeanee), Mike Comeaux; grandchildren, Casie Gueho (Chad), Kristan Andre (Seth), Bryan Gosserand, Tommy Comeaux, Jr., Hayden Baum and Jennifer Smith; great grandchildren, Carsyn, Carter, Sophie, Landen, Lane, Noah and Eli; sisters, Marie Debetaz and Annie LeBlanc; brother, Leonce Comeaux Jr. (Rose). He is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Theresa Henry (Nin) Comeaux; parents, Leonce Comeaux Sr. and Estelle Blanchard Comeaux; sisters, Noisey, Oville, Mable, Judy, Lena; brothers, Robert, Lester, Haywed, Ulisse; and Michele Gobert, mother of Tommy Comeaux Jr. Lee is also survived by Lydia Vancel and Marsha Comeaux. A visitation will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Hall in Lakeland on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 8:30 am until 10:45 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lakeland, followed by the burial in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tommy Comeaux, Jr., Bryan Gosserand, Hayden Baum, Carter Gueho, Lane Mougeot and Bobby Comeaux.
