ANTHONY CARTELLI Anthony Cartelli, age 89, of Trinidad, Colorado, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 19, 2025. Born in Sopris, Colorado, on April 13, 1936, to Rubin and Lena Cartelli, Anthony was one of six children. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Jane (Lovell) Cartelli; his sister, Francis Cartelli Boday; and his brother, Charles Cartelli. He is survived by siblings Barbara Brown, Mary Patricia (Bill) Lockwood, and Eugene (Dawn) Cartelli.He is also survived by his sons: Tony (Manny Montoya) Cartelli, Stephen Cartelli, Brian (Tina) Cartelli, Jason (Paula) Cartelli, and Jeff (Tara) Cartelli; ten grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters, all of whom he cherished deeply. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, along with many dear cousins. A 1954 graduate of Holy Trinity High School, Anthony remained a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Parish and a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. He worked hard throughout his life, including time as a coal miner, and was known for his humility, faith, and dedication to family. A public viewing will be held Friday, July 25, at 10:00 a.m. at the Mullare-Murphy Funeral Home in Trinidad. A Rosary will be recited on Friday, July 25, at 12:30 p.m., followed by the Funeral Mass at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Church. A celebration of life will follow at Mt. Carmel Community Center. Anthony will be remembered for his quiet strength, strong faith, and unwavering love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. The family has entrusted Mullare-Murphy Funeral Home with the arrangements.
