Pearl Thompson Obituary
Pearl (Potter) Thompson, 81, of Mansfield, CT passed away on January 25, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 16th, 1943, in Windham, CT. The daughter of the late Delmar and Eleanor (Beebe) Potter. She worked at her family's riding stables in Coventry and had a love of horses. She later worked at UConn Residential Life until she retired. She loved spending time with her family at the beach, watching her birds, and she never missed a UConn basketball game.
She is survived by her beloved children, George M. Thompson, III, and wife, Tracie, Amy Houle, Scott Houle, Sheryl Lohman and husband, Doug, and their father, George M. Thompson Jr., her brother, Harold Brandon and wife, Georgine. Her grandchildren, who were the light of her life, Joshua Houle, Stacie Houle, Bryan Lohman, Brittany Lohman, Valerie Netsch, Rebecca Thompson, and Rebecca Higgins and five great-grandchildren, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister, Joyce Reed, brother, Robert Potter, brother, Norman Potter, partner, Wesley Hair, and partner, LeRoy Ryan.
Relatives and friends are welcome to join her family for calling hours from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 12:00 p.m. Saturday February 1, 2025, at the Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Merrow Rd (Rte. 195), Tolland, CT.
