Jimmie Denney Obituary

Jimmie Denney, 73, of Winchester passed away on July 10, 2025, in Muncie, Indiana. Born in 1951, Jimmie dedicated a significant portion of his life to serving his country, first in the Army for three years followed by seven years in the Navy, embracing the challenges and camaraderie that come with military life.

Known for his kindness and patience, Jimmie was the epitome of a man who would go out of his way to help others. His love for model airplanes and comic strip artistry brought joy not only to him but also to those around him. His artistic talents were complemented by his musical skills, particularly playing guitar, which was a favorite activity during family gatherings.

Jimmie leaves behind his beloved wife, Jane, and his children, Johnathon, Ashley, Dennis, and Jason. His joyous spirit lives on through his grandchildren, Kalam, Sylaris, Deanna, and Shyanne. He will be missed by his adoring siblings, Bell, Jack and Sonny.

A service to celebrate Jimmie's life will be held on Wednesday, July 16th at 1 pm at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester, Indiana. Friends and family may call from 11 am to 1 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mooreland Cemetery in Mooreland, Indiana with Michael Adams officiating. His life, marked by generosity, creativity, and service, will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew him.
