Steven Finn Obituary

Waterford - Steven J. Finn, a devoted husband, brother, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully January 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Sept. 28, 1959, the son of James and Joan Finn. He was married to Pompea Timpano on April 20, 1985.

Steven is survived by his beloved wife, Pompea, with whom they built a beautiful life filled with family, laughter and a lifetime of cherished memories. He was a proud father of two children: his daughter, Sonia; and his son, Casey (wife Elizabeth). Steven's legacy lives on through his cherished grandchildren, Gabriel, Giana, Justyce, and Skylar, Michael and Camden.

He is also survived by his siblings, Daniel J. Finn and his wife Patti Hostage, Cindy-Marie (Finn) Smith, and Judy-Marcia (Finn) Steele and her husband Joseph.

A devoted Kansas City Chiefs and WWE fan, as a young man, Steven trained horses before starting a career as an editor at BBP in Waterford. Following his time there, he moved on to working as a tables game dealer/supervisor and then security at Foxwoods, followed by Mohegan Sun. He also loved spending time with his cat, Stewie.

Steven will be remembered for his quick wit and ability to tell a story. Whether spending time with his family, sharing stories that brought laughter, or offering guidance with wisdom, he was a joy to all who knew him.

A celebration of Steven's life will be held at 11 a.m. Feb. 22, 2025, at Langley's Restaurant of Great Neck Country Club, located in Waterford, where family and friends are invited to gather and honor his memory.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a reflection of Steven's generous and giving spirit.

Steven's presence in the lives of his loved ones was a true gift, and his memory will be treasured forever.
