Barb Oberbroeckling Obituary

Barb Oberbroeckling passed away on July 6, 2025 after a long illness. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who spent most of her life caring for young children and grandchildren through her in-home daycare. She loved to work in her garden, attend kids' and grandkids' sporting events, and loved to listen to John Denver music. She was a kind, selfless woman who was always there when needed. She's the strongest person I've ever met and she will be greatly missed. Rest in peace. Barb is survived by her husband, Dennis Oberbroeckling; daughters, Denise Tremmel and Paula Oberbroeckling; son, Rob Oberbroeckling; sister, Donna Mesch; brothers, Bill Flanagan and Gary Flanagan; grandsons, Tyler Oberbroeckling, Brody Oberbroeckling, Owen Marion, Eli Marion and Jake Hefflefinger; granddaughters, Kylie Oberbroeckling, Jessie Pastika, Emily Feine, Katie Hefflefinger and Ella Marion; and great-grandsons Sutton and Cora. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Marie Casteel; father, Lyle Flanagan; and daughter, Rose Marie Oberbroeckling. A small gathering with friends and family will occur at a later date.
