Born: June 26, 1932 in Lockport, IL
Died: October 4, 2024 in Kankakee, IL
Anita M. Scott "Crazy Grandma" " age 92, of Custer Park, IL, passed away Friday, October 4, 2024 at Riverside Hospital in Kankakee, IL. Born June 26, 1932 in Lockport, IL to the late Elias and Emilia (nee Vargas) Gutierrez. Anita married John M. Scott on June 22, 1974 at Richard St. Methodist Church in Joliet, IL. She loved cooking, taking care of her family, and was known to be the best Mother-In-Law.
Surviving are her husband, John; one daughter, Deborah (Glen) Johnson of Joliet, IL; two sons, Michael (Kathy) Bravo of Lockport, IL and Joseph (Paula) Bravo of Shorewood, IL; 17 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; step-daughter, Linda (Lee) Capista of Shorewood, IL; step-sons, Steve (Bev) Scott of Wilmington IL, David (Nicky) Scott of England, and Tony (Mindy) Scott of Custer Park; and sister, Lil Lopez of Joliet. Preceding her in death were her parents; siblings, Inez and Julia Gutierrez, Carmen Kozlowski, Celia Jaso, and a brother birth; and three brothers-in-law. Cremation rites have been accorded.
