Ann Reinke Obituary
Ann M. Reinke (nee Domencic), age 102, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 4, 2025 at StoryPoint, Romeoville. She graduated in 1941 from Luther L. Wright High School in Ironwood, Michigan.
She is survived by two daughters, Gail (Drexel) Maggio and Janet (John) Toth; grandchildren, Brent (Rachel); Kara; and Kyle (Michele); seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Morris Reinke; parents, Anna and Thomas Domencic; brother John; and sisters, Kay Manning and Rose Pakonen.
Ann was a February 1945 graduate of Saint Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing, Joliet, Illinois. She worked at St. Joseph's for 42 years, working at the "old" hospital on the first floor, and becoming head nurse of the eighth floor when the "new" hospital opened.
Ann often volunteered her nursing services in civic organizations in Lemont, where she resided most of her adult life.
Memorial contributions in Ann Reinke's name can be made to Lightways Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, Illinois 60431.
Inurment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery will take place at a later date.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.
She was a thoughtful nurse and friend of my mother. They would sometimes ride together when they worked the same shift at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

We met Ann or "Annie" at Storypoint. My brother-in-law has been a resident there since March of 2025. She was very attached to him and would walk or sit in the Big TV room with him. Ann was such a sweet lady. The aides and nurses there really loved her. May she rest in peace. God bless Annie's family and friends,

My deepest sympathy on the loss of your Mom. I remember her as a well respected head nurse at St. Joe’s, always impeccably dressed in her white uniform and cap. I gave her a ride a few times when I was a staff nurse in labor & delivery and met your Dads approval as a “safe” driver. May your good memories comfort you.
