In Loving Memory of our husband, father, and grandpa.

Larry L. Bigley, 77, died June 6, 2025. He was born August 7, 1947, in Norfolk, Neb., the son of Kenneth Bigley and Rozella Cheney.

Larry graduated from Central Catholic, Class of 1966. Following graduation, he served in the U.S. army during the Vietnam War. During his service, he received the National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. After the war, he worked at New Holland in Grand Island for 31 years.

He married Irene Pieko in 1971 and they had four children, Kenneth, Wendy, Russell, and Dawn. Both remarried at a later time. Larry shared 35 years with his loving, devoted spouse, Sue Christensen.

He enjoyed raising his chickens, gardening, grilling, and building his dream home on their acreage of land overlooking a lake. He enjoyed chatting with people and left a lasting impression on those that knew him.

Preceding his death are his parents and brother, Frankie. He is survived by his wife, Sue; his sisters, Barbara, Linda, and Mary; his children, Ken, Wendy, Russ, and Dawn; grandchildren, Kenna, Kaden, Devin, Lyndon, Sam, Brandon, Emily, Gracie, Cole, Connor, Abby, Julia, and AJ.

To the family of Larry, I am sorry to hear of the passing of Larry. We grew up together riding horses and having fun on the plains of Nebraska. Ride on my old friend!
