Richard J. Orabone 84, of Cranston, passed away Tuesday March 25, 2025 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center. He was the beloved husband of Jeanne C.(Murphy) Orabone. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Henry and Carmella (Cava) Orabone. Richard worked in Human Resources at the VA Hospital Providence until retirement and was in the RI Air National Guard for 6 years.
Besides his wife he was the devoted father of Richard J. Orabone, Jr. and his wife Randy and Mary Lynn O. Montville and her husband Kenneth; loving grandfather of Nicholas Montville and Julian Orabone. He was the dear brother of Annette Donahue and the late Henry “Hank” Orabone.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday April 2, 2025 at 9 am. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Immaculate Conception Church 237 Garden Hills Drive Cranston at 10 am. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are Tuesday April 1, 2025 from 4pm-7pm.
