Rachel Allen Obituary

Rachel Albert Allen, age 91, of Copperhill, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Copperhill December 6, 1933, to the late William Locke and Mary Waters Locke.
She attended Mt. Zion (Tumbling Creek) Baptist Church.
Rachel worked for many years as a cook at Copper Basin Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her late husband of 67 years, Raymond M. Allen; siblings, Richard Locke, Rhoda Deal, and Ethel Howard; and great-granddaughter, Eden Lily Uhlik.
Rachel is survived by her children and their spouses, Bryan and Joyce Allen, Kimberley Allen, and Karen and Michael Graves; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Essie Rymer and Margaret O'Neal; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at 2 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Copperhill Chapel with the Rev. Doyle Davis officiating.
Music was provided by Alex and Angie Deal. Interment followed in the Mt. Zion (Tumbling Creek) Baptist Church Cemetery with Brendan Allen, Jacob Allen, Zackery Reid, Connor Ledford, Cory Deal, and A.J. Uhlik serving as pallbearers.
The family visited with friends at the funeral home Tuesday afternoon from noon until 2 p.m.
