Kathy L. Zahn, age 72 of Centerville, formerly of Germantown, OH passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025, at Hospice of Dayton. Born on November 23, 1952, in Middletown, Ohio, Kathy lived a life marked by dedication, professionalism, and a deep affection for her family and friends.
Kathy's career as a financial analyst spanned many years, with her most recent position at PNC Bank. Her expertise and commitment to her work were evident in all she did. Kathy was a graduate of Valley View High School, class of 1971 and had a passion for both college and professional football, she particularly enjoyed watching the Michigan Wolverines and the Cincinnati Bengals. She was also a proud member of the "Old Hippies of Germantown", and adored her dog "Ben".
Kathy is remembered fondly by a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will carry her legacy in their hearts. She is predeceased by her husband of 32 years, Gary Zahn, who passed away in 2022, as well as her parents Luther and Ruth Wells. Kathy was also preceded in death by her brothers Etsel, Bud, and Luther "David" Wells, and her sister Judy Eagle.
Her warm spirit and generous heart will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Kathy's memory will live on through the laughter and love she shared during her remarkable life.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025 from 2:00-5:00pm at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 30 West Warren St. Germantown, OH. In honor of Kathy's passion for sports, guests are encouraged to wear their favorite sports team attire. If you don't have a team, we invite you to GoBlue!
