Neil McCormick Obituary
OLIVE BRANCH - Neal McCormick, 100, of Shreveport, Louisiana, formerly of Olive Branch, died Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Overton Brooks VA Medical Center in Shreveport.
Neal was a United States Army veteran having served in World War II.
He spent 40 years working at McLead Manufacturing as a die setter.
He was a member of the Alexander Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Betty (Sims) McCormick; daughter, Debra (Arvin) Weaver of Austin, Texas; Step-children, Sharon Calvert of Olive Branch, Kenny Sims of Shreveport, Louisiana, Bruce Sims of Olive Branch, Ladonna McNealy of Jackson, Missouri, and Sandy Sims of Ullin; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Mary (Nettleton) McCormick; his first wife, Florence Miller McCormick; step-son, Gerald Sims; step-daughter, Nancy Pearman; four sisters and five brothers.
Funeral Services were held at noon May 5, with Masonic rites, at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms. Sam Ramdial officiated. Interment with Military Honors followed at Rose Hill Cemetery in Thebes.
Crain Funeral Home in Tamms is in charge of arrangements.
