Rebekah Ellis Obituary
November 30, 1941 - June 15, 2025
Lexington, South Carolina - Rebekah Anderson Ellis (83) passed peacefully June 15, 2025. Rebekah was born November 30, 1941, at Langly Field, VA. She was predeceased by her husband Bob Zion; parents, Dillard Baynard and Rebekah Anderson Ellis; and grandparents Hyman and Rebekah Anderson, and George and Antoinette Ellis.
Rebekah is survived by her brother Thomas Baynard (Winna) Ellis of Columbia; niece Krista Ellis (Jim) Bannister and grand-nieces Adair, Rebekah, and Winna Beth Bannister of Greenville; niece Stephanie Ellis (Bates) Mattison, grand-nephew Miles, and grand-niece Kathleen Mattison of Atlanta; and her sister Antoinette Ellis (John) Black and nephew Jonathan Dillard Black of Lexington.
A graveside service for Rebekah was held in Rosemont Cemetery, Clinton SC, on June 25, 2025. The service was attended by family and close friends, followed by a luncheon during which many happy, loving, and humorous memories were shared.

Rebekah was my neighbor up the street, and a member of my book club. She was a terrific lady! I did know her deeply, but I knew her well enough to appreciate her sense of humor, her love of animals, and her wonderful mind. She will be missed.
