Paul Reilly Obituary

PAUL JAMES REILLY Paul James Reilly, 83, of Orlando, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 7th, 2025, surrounded by his family. Paul was born on September 2nd, 1942, in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He was the beloved son of the late Patrick Francis Reilly & the late Anna E. Williams-Douglas.    As a young man, he served in the US military before settling in Van Wert, Ohio, where he spent the majority of his life. He was a dedicated employee of Continental Can (currently Greif Inc.) for over 40 years. He was also co-owner and operator of Reilly Chimney Sweep Service. He faithfully attended the First Church of God, where he was a soloist and led worship for many years.  Throughout his life, he enjoyed baseball, bowling, and golf, but racquetball became his specialty. He loved watching sports, eating at his favorite restaurants, and most of all spending time with his family.   After retirement, he resided in Orlando, Florida, with his youngest daughter Shannon, her husband Alex, and their children Noah and Hannah. During his years in Florida, he attended Friends Community Church and took pride in being Grandpa's daycare and taxi service.   He is survived by his five children: James "Jim" Carroll, of Van Wert, Ohio; Kellyn "Lyn" "Petie" Reilly Baker and her husband Darin Baker, of Orlando, Florida; Joyce Reilly Roberts and her fiancé Troy Pollock, of Van Wert, Ohio; Janel Reilly Duquette, of Hendersonville, Tennessee; and Shannon Reilly Vazquez and her husband Alex Vazquez, of Orlando, Florida; his 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He has three surviving siblings: Dorothy-Jean Bonn, of Mountain Top, Pennsylvania; Patrick Robert Reilly, of Watertown, Connecticut; and Cherlynn Reilly Villano, of Wallingford, Connecticut.  He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his sense of humor, infectious smile, and compassionate heart. We look forward to meeting him again in heaven.   A memorial service will be held on November 1, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Friends Community Church, 53 S Dean Rd, Orlando, Florida, 32828. All are welcome to join us as we celebrate his life.
