Isabel Bampton Obituary

We regret to inform you that if you haven't met Isabel Bampton age 96 it's too late. She went on to heaven on Feb 18 to be with her husband, Joseph, of 50 years and two sisters. She's survived by four children: Pete (Julie), Matt (Beth), Jim (Anna), & Ellabeth Karalus (George); thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. To best describe her would be a cross between Mary Tyler Moore and Mother Theresa. Her loving spirit, beautiful smile and good humor drew people to her. Isabel earned her nursing degree from St Vincent's Catholic Medical Center in NY and graduated from St John's University. She was a long time member of St Edwards Church and the VMFA Council. Isabel enjoyed art, travel, Ikebana, Garden Club, and antiquing with her husband. Her love, devotion, humor, and kindness for all will be missed. Her service will be held March 19 (Noon) at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church.
