January 22, 1969 - June 20, 2025
Nerissa Parks Cash, born on January 22, 1969, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2025, entering into the glory of the Lord, free now from all limitations, pain, and suffering. She was deeply loved by all who knew her, remembered for her contagious smile, joyful laughter, and the warmth she brought to every room. She had the kindest soul, gentle, compassionate, and full of grace.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 20 years, Raymond Cash Jr.; her loving mother, Lisa; her dear brother, Aaron (Tanya); her close in-laws, Audrey, Christy (Joe), Julie (John), who cherished her; and numerous nieces and nephews who adored their aunt. Her presence in their lives was a true blessing and will be forever missed.
She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Harvey Parks; and her father-in-law, Raymond Cash, whose memories she held dearly in her heart.
Nerissa found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved the beauty and the calmness of the ocean, poetry, music, creativity, crafts, Hallmark movies, and most of all, cherished moments spent with her family. She faced the struggles of her life with quiet determination and a spirit of joy. Her laughter brought sunshine into the hearts of all who knew her, and her kindness touched everyone she met.
Though our hearts ache with her passing, we find peace in knowing she is now at rest, surrounded by the everlasting love and light of Jesus.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., on Friday, July 11th, at Morrissett Funeral Home, located at 6500 Iron Bridge Road. Reception for friends and family will immediately follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gatewayhomes.org or the MCV Foundation, causes close to her heart.
Her love, spirit, and memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
