John W. Shaw, age 76, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025, at Fort Memorial Hospital.
John was a former resident of Mesa, Ariz., Lake Geneva and Janesville Wis., and was a current resident of Fort Atkinson, Wis.
John was born on November 20, 1948, in Hartford, Conn. He was passionate about history and education, and was pleased to hold a master's degree in special education that he worked very hard for. John was proud to support his family despite the many challenges he faced. Mr. Shaw taught history and special education at Badger High School, and was an assistant football coach in Lake Geneva. He was known for his love of the Packers, Ohio State, and AZ Cardinals football teams, and could practically recite his favorite TV shows, Star Trek and MASH.
John is preceded in death by his parents: Bill and Winnifred (Spore) Shaw; and his sister, Barbara.
John is survived by his daughters: Michelle Hawley and Christine Simonson; his brother, Robert (Deanna) Shaw; and grandchildren: Katie, Caleigh, and Sam.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
