Juliane Conner Obituary

NEWPORT NEWS, VA - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Juliane Bohnert Conner, widow of John H. Conner. Juliane was born in Berlin, Germany on June 20, 1942. She was the daughter of the late Helmut Bohnert and Hildegard Tienert. She was also the step-daughter of the late Harold Tienert. Juliane is survived by her step-children, Patricia Conner Thomas (Glenn), of Newport News, Victor John Conner (Kay) of Bath, IN and Alice Conner Hundley (Michael) of Broken Arrow, OK. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and her beloved Borzio, Sophie. Julie was a 1960 graduate of Karlsruhe American High School in Karlsruhe, Germany. She attended Hampton Roads Business College, Thomas Nelson Community College and Christopher Newport College. She was employed by CEBAF, BASF, Colonial Williamsburg and as a secretary to the late Herbert Bateman. Julie love animals and was known to adopt many cats. She loved to read and keeping up on current politics. She enjoyed a good political argument! Julie will be interned with the love of her life, her husband, John at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements by Amory Funeral Home, Grafton.
