Earlier today
I met Carol at UMass in January 1967. Our friendship spanned 7 decades. I loved her and will miss her always. She was cheerful, athletic and smart. She loved cold weather and adventure. Her lovely voice was a sweet soprano and her laughter was just as beautiful. It's hard to believe that her kind heart has stopped beating and the silence to me is deafening.
