SIMSBURY, Conn. -
Mary Louise
(Coppola) Whyte, 88, of West Simsbury, Conn., passed peacefully into the arms of Christ, on July 20, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born September 12, 1936 to Victor and Josephine Coppola, Mary was predeceased by her husband, Daniel Thomas Whyte (2005); and by her son, Thomas Patrick Whyte (2013).
Marylou was married for 49 years and lived in Madison, Conn., and Delmar, N.Y. She loved her family and friends, enjoyed travel, bridge, and the beach, either in Madison or in Chatham, Mass. She was a registered nurse for more than 50 years.
She is survived by her children, Cynthia W. Seay (Jeffrey, deceased), Rev. Michael Whyte, Bridget Joan Zigrosser (Richard), Dr. Kathryn. J. Whyte (Rory Johnson); and her grandchildren, Jennifer Fuld (Justin), Jack Seay (Vicky), Molly Brown, Emma Brown, Ryan Zigrosser and Nicholas Zigrosser; and her great-grandchildren, Alexis Fernandez, Avery Fernandez, and Giada Fuld.
A devout Catholic, her funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena Church, West Simsbury, Conn., on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 10 a.m. Burial will be private.
