Ripley Gardner Obituary
ALBANY - Ripley E. Gardner was born February 9, 1941, to the late Ritynella Sparks and Wilfred Tinglin in Cambridge, St. James, Jamaica.
Ripley worked as a conductress and went on to own her Bar and Cook Shop business. In 1986, Ripley was married to Joseph Gardner and soon relocated to The United States. Ripley resided in Albany, New York where she worked as a CNA at Albany County Nursing Home. Where she provided compassionate care to residence until she retired.
Ripley E. Gardner went home to be with the Lord on Thursday February 22, 2024.
Ripley is survived by Joseph Gardner; sisters, Sylvia Thompson and Jennifer Allen; brother, Georgie Brodber; children, Shoucair Holder, Ophelia Holder, Monica Holder, and Leroy Holder; stepdaughter, Tracey-Ann Gardner; grandchildren, Stephen, Ainsworth, Davion, Nyoka, Davell, Odain, Anthony, Opal, Tina and Keron; 16 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, New York 12189 on Friday, March 1, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with a funeral service to begin at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow the service at Memory Garden's Cemetery, 983 Watervliet Shaker Rd., Albany, N.Y. 12205.
