Pamela L. (Kern) Dankanich

Pamela L. (Kern) Dankanich, 74, of Lehigh Avenue, Palmerton, died peacefully late Saturday afternoon, January 25, 2025, at Mrs. Bush's Personal Care Home, Kunkletown. She was the wife of the late Michael Dankanich, who passed in 2022. They were married for 53 years.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Mary (Holtzer) Kern.

Pam was employed as a van driver by the Carbon-Lehigh Intermediate Unit 21, Walnutport. Previously, she worked in the custodial services department at Cedarbrook County Home, South Whitehall Township, and as a seamstress for the former Janie's Fashions Co., Slatington.

Pam loved watching sports, especially the Philadelphia Eagles, the Phillies and the 76ers. She enjoyed being active, playing cards, shopping, going to the shore, and playing bingo at the Bowmanstown Rod & Gun Club.

She and her late husband were members of the Slatington Volunteer Fire Co. No. 1. Pam was a wonderful homemaker and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She always put her family first and showed deep consideration for the people she loved. Pam was very generous, her home was always open to family and friends. She made everyone feel welcome and comfortable. She will be deeply missed.

Surviving are daughters, Denise M., wife of Barry Behler, and Michele L., wife of James Dailey, both of Palmerton; five grandchildren, Brandon, Jared, Erin, Liz and Emily; three great-grandchildren, Liah, Addison and Markus; a sister Janice, wife of James Brown of Palmerton; brothers, Edward, and his wife, Linda, of Orefield, David, and his wife, Susan, of Lehighton, and Bruce of Slatington; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also predeceased by sister, Carol Diehl; and brothers, Wayne and Richard.
