Graham Whitlow Obituary

Graham Anthony Whitlow, 87, of Fort Myers, FL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 20, 2025. He was born May 12, 1938, in Rhiwbina, Cardiff, Wales, the son of the late Frank and Clara Whitlow. In addition to his parents, Graham was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Elizabeth Anita; and his son-in-law, Paul Ingersoll. He was a retired metallurgical engineer with degrees from the University of Manchester, UK, and the University College, Swansea, Wales. He worked for UK Atomic Energy before emigrating to the United States with his family in 1967 to work for Westinghouse Electric. He and Anita were long-time residents of Murrysville, and they spent the winter months in Fort Myers, FL. Graham was a member of the Newlonsburg Presbyterian Church, Murrysville, and was a talented calligrapher, gardener, and master bridge player. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, particularly his six grandsons and his two great-grandchildren. He is survived by his loving companion, Sally Slay of Fort Myers, FL; his brother, Alan Keith of Cardiff, Wales; his son, Gerry (Jodie) Whitlow of Pagosa Springs, CO; his daughter, Janet Ingersoll of Penn Township; and his grandsons, Trevor, Ryan (Katie), Ben, Jared, Tim, and Evan (Hailey). Graham was especially thrilled to meet his great-grandson, Rory Anthony Whitlow, and his great-granddaughter, Sophia Rose Ingersoll. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Newlonsburg Presbyterian Church, Murrysville, in honor of Graham.
