Michael Bradley Obituary

Michael P. Bradley, 76, of Irwin, passed away peacefully on Jan. 10, 2025, in his home. He was born Sept. 30, 1948, in Pittsburgh to the late Lawrence R. and Esther C. (Kohler) Bradley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a brother, Raymond Bradley. A 1966 graduate of Churchill High School and a 1970 graduate of Allegheny County Community College, Mike devoted over 50 years as a respected leader and accomplished businessman at DSC Financial Services, retiring at age 72 as the senior vice president and company co-owner. During his tenure, he simultaneously served 34 years on the Board of Directors for the Pennsylvania Manufactured Housing Association and over 10 years on the Pennsylvania Recreational Vehicle and Camping Association. A respected leader and recipient of the PMHA's 2019 Golden Eagle Award, Mike will be remembered professionally for his unmatched work ethic, humility, loyalty, and sincere desire to help others. An avid reader and dedicated Pittsburgh area sports fan, Mike thoroughly enjoyed spending time outdoors in any number of activities, especially golf. He was dedicated to his personal fitness and particularly committed to cardiovascular conditioning, participating in countless 5 and 10k regional events. Mike most enjoyed spending time with friends and family, celebrating the simple things in life that bring the greatest joy. He was a beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather, friend and neighbor and touched the lives of everyone with his abundantly kind and loving heart. He was truly one of a kind and will be missed by all who knew him. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Patricia A. (Dascenzo) Bradley; two children, Tracy L. (Gary) Desjardins and Michael P. (Rachelle) Bradley; four grandchildren, Emily Desjardins, Jackson (Chloe) Desjardins, Connor Bradley, and Brandon Bradley; sister, Mary (Tom) Urban; three brothers, James Bradley, Brian (Debra) Bradley, and Joseph (Pam) Bradley; two sisters-in-law, Susan Bradley and Terry Bradley; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m., Monday, in the OTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 805 Pennsylvania Ave., Irwin, PA 15642. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family strongly suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in Michael's name. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.ottfuneralhome.com.

Mike and I often joked that we spent the best years of our youth together on our bicycles and playing touch football. He had a paper route and would treat us to cherry Cokes at Harry's Drug Store in Gilmore Acres when we were broke. Which was often. He and I both claimed that when we heard the song "Stand By Me" we would remember our pals and our little adventures usually involving illicit cigarette smoking, firecrackers and finding girls. Though we lost track of each other in our middle years we reconnected and caught up. He remained pleasant never had a bad word for anybody. I was always happy to see him which, I guess, is as high a compliment as you can give a man. Happy trails, Mike!
