Pierrette Bodman Obituary

Pierrette Rollande Bodman

May 9, 1931 - April 23, 2025

DuPont, Washington - With deep love and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Pierrette Bodman (née Gagnon), who departed this life on April 23, 2025, at the age of 93.

Born on May 9, 1931, Pierrette lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter (Walt) J. Bodman Jr., with whom she shared 72 beautiful years of marriage, from 1949 until his passing in 2021. Their partnership was a lasting example of love and commitment that deeply shaped the lives of everyone who knew them.

Pierrette was the proud and loving mother of four sons: Walter, Dale (Mary Beth), Hal (Kelly), and Glen (Sherri). Her heart was fullest when surrounded by her family, and she found her greatest joy in the lives and accomplishments of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a treasured grandmother to nine grandchildren and a joyful great-grandmother to six great-grandchildren.

She had a zest for life and a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures. Pierrette loved fishing by the water's edge, skiing down snowy slopes, cooking delicious meals from scratch, and most of all, spending time with her four boys, her pride and joy. Her home was always warm, welcoming, and filled with the comforting aroma of her cooking and the sound of laughter. She had a passion for traveling, and would return home to Montreal, shop in Hong Kong, or ride a train for skiing in Whitefish, MT. Yearly, Pierrette and Walt would vacation in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and invite and entertain family and friends. She was known for her Swedish cookies and meatballs, chili, clam spaghetti, wiener schnitzel and barbecues.

Pierrette's gentle spirit, sharp wit, and nurturing heart will be missed more than words can express. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and family that will live on through all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A private ceremony will be held for family at Tahoma National Cemetery on June 27th. The family asks that you consider donating to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
