Raymund Mojica Obituary

MOJICA - Raymund "Ray" Lavilla Mojica, affectionately also known as Jojo, passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife.
Born March 6, 1965, in the Philippines, Ray and his family moved to the U.S., where he grew up in Jacksonville, Fla. This is where he built lasting friendships and fond memories. Later, he joined the U.S. Navy and served nine years to include two wars (Gulf War and Cold War). Eventually, Ray settled in St. Marys, Ga., with the love of his life, Kimberly, where they created their life together.
Ray is survived by his devoted wife, Kimberly; loving children, Emily, Ashley, Ciera Pamela and Sheldon; brother, Tony; sister, Marilou and their families; mother-in-law, Barbara; and four grandchildren who were all a huge source of pride and joy to him. Ray now joins his parents, Joe and Luz, and father-in-law, Roy, in eternal peace.
Ray will be remembered for his easy-going nature and his infectious sense of humor. Always the jokester, Ray could light up a room with his laughter and make anyone feel at ease even when the jokes had inappropriate timing. His kindness, warmth and desire to find humor in every moment were unmatched.
Ray's life was a testament to the love of his work and finding happiness in the little things. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A service to celebrate Ray's life will be held at Allison Memorial Funeral home on Friday Dec. 20, 2024. Funeral service will be 6 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior to service starting at 5 p.m.
Ray's spirit will live on through the lives he touched and the love he shared. Rest peacefully, Ray – you will be deeply missed and forever loved.
