Sally Stiles Obituary
December 6, 1942 - June 20, 2025
Richland, Washington - Sally Stiles passed away early morning June 20th, 2025.
Sally grew up and lived in Richland WA for over 80 years. Her early years consisted of camping, biking, and competing with her 3 brothers. Sally met Doug Stiles while working at the Uptown Theater in Richland. After they married in February of 1963, she and Doug continued the tradition of camping and boating that has been passed down to her 2 children Kevin (Karen) and Laura (Joe), 4 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
She and Doug spent their lives together full of adventure that included owning their own business, building their dream home, spending time with family, many month-long road trips, and one 2 year boating adventure called "The Great Loop".
Sally was an accomplished artist who expressed herself via ceramics, sewing, and cross stitching which she and Doug displayed throughout the house. Her family still wear clothing with Sally's cross stitching on them. You ever stepped in the house not seeing it decorated for the holiday of the month, including the candy dish.
Sally is a wonderful loving soul that will be dearly missed.
A memorial service will be held on July 12, 2025 at 11 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Thayer building. 1720 Thayer Drive, Richland, WA 99354.

If I had to use only one word to describe Sally, It would be Class, all the way, all the time, without fail. It is the first thing I thought about her and how I will always remember her. The way she spoke, the way she conducted herself. Everything was done with class, kindness, respect, caring, sincerity. She was so..., yet hilarious and fun. It´s not one thing but a million things, how kind she was, always there with a smile and a hug. She had a way of making you feel like a million bucks and made you feel important. She was a joy to be around. She would always bring the best of everything forward. I feel deeply honored to have known her and blessed by her presence. Blessed to have spent time with her and enjoyed her hospitality. I honestly feel I can´t say enough about her. You couldn´t ask for a better matrilocal figure. I will eternally love her and miss her.
I wish I could sit and giggle with her, while discussing the current mystery show we were watching, pick my favorite candy from the candy dish, and delight in this season´s cheerful, creative and whimsical décor. You could not walk into that house without smiling. It was instant. I am so very thankful that I took the time to tell her how very valuable she was to me and those that were blessed by her endearing presence.
