Irene Chouinard Obituary

Irene May Chouinard, aged 93, passed away on April 5, 2025, in Dover, NH.

Born on June 18, 1931, Irene was a beloved figure in her community, known for her passion for sewing and crafts. She found joy in creating handcrafted items which she generously shared with friends and family. For a number of years, Irene worked in a bridal shop specializing in alterations and custom wedding dresses for many appreciative brides. She and her loving husband, Romie enjoyed spending the winters in Florida with their many friends, returning in the spring to be with family.

Irene is survived by her loving daughters, Linda Dupuis and Debbie St.Germain, along with their spouses, Robert and Michael, respectively. She was a cherished grandmother to Matthew Dupuis, Amy Dupuis, Christina Jackson, and Daniel St. Germain, and a proud great-grandmother to Brendan, Liam, Bryson, and Grace. Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Romie Chouinard, and was the last survivor of her siblings Tina, Louise, Pauline, Arthur (Buddy), Rita, and Thomas.

A memorial service for Irene will be held at 2:00pm on May 15th at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery on 110 Daniel Webster Hwy in Boscawen, NH, celebrating her life and her enduring spirit.
