David Dudley Obituary

David Dudley

Born May 19, 1944, in Hannibal, MO, son of Roger and Kathryn Dudley.

He graduated from West Pike High School, Kinderhook, Illinois, in 1962. He then received a B.S. in political science from Western Illinois University in 1967. After college he taught fifth grade at St. Charles Boys School and later became vice principle at Valley View Boys School.

He opened (The Country Store of Geneva) in 1975, with his wife, Bonnie, which successfully carried on until his retirement in 2015.

David passed from this earth on October 2nd, 2024, leaving his son, Jared Kendrick Dudley; his former wife, Bonnie Dudley; and his sister, Marilyn Anderson.

David Dudley was known to be a selfless man. Virtually everyone that knew him found his nature to be kind, caring, thoughtful, generous, empathetic and compassionate.

He was a pacifist with plenty of passion, accompanied by an alluring wit of dry humor that enabled his ease engaging with others. He enjoyed conversing about politics, social issues, current events and sports (especially soccer).

He was a good father and a good man, leaving behind a good solid imprint upon our world.
