Nancy Rodeheaver Obituary

Nancy Rodeheaver passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025 with her beloved husband Tom by her side. Nancy was born in Washington, DC on May 1, 1945 as the younger child of Chester and Haddy (Jones) Huff, and grew up in Arlington, VA. She graduated from Radford College with a Bachelor's degree in 1967 and with a Master's degree in 1968 and returned to Arlington where she spent most of her life. She had moved to Naples, Florida in recent years.
Nancy was married to Thomas Rodeheaver, the love of her life, on April 21, 1973 in Arlington, VA. Together Tom and Nancy raised three wonderful children. She was an elementary school teacher in Prince William County before she focused on raising her children, and later was an elementary reading specialist in Arlington County Public Schools.
Nancy never met a stranger. She was kind, thoughtful, funny, and intelligent, and had a story for every occasion. Nancy loved her family and friends dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. She was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed.
Nancy enjoyed traveling, especially with her family. Recently they had traveled to many states including Alaska and Hawaii, plus multiple countries in Europe and the Middle East. While she loved seeing the world, her favorite place was anywhere with her family and her dog.
She is survived by her husband Thomas, sons Samuel (Nan) and Chester, and daughter Martha (Steven), and by many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents (Chester and Haddy (Jones) Huff) and her sister June (Huff) Eitel.
Services will be held on July 26, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Little Falls Presbyterian Church in Arlington, VA. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for contributions to the Little Falls Presbyterian Church, to Alzheimer's Disease Research (22512 Gateway Center Drive, Clarksburg, MD 20871), or to a charity of your choice.

Dear Tom and family,
We are sorry to hear about Nancy. I was thinking about the last time we had seen her when we were out shopping and she and Martha were doing the same. We will remember her in our prayers.
