September 26, 1948 - April 25, 2025
Terrance Robert Dean, 76, passed away April 25, 2025, at the VA Hospital in Des Moines.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 30 at Iles Dunn's Chapel, where the Rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 1 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Des Moines with interment at Franklin Township Cemetery near Bondurant.
Terrance Robert Dean, the son of James and Betty (Reynolds) Dean, was born September 26, 1948 in Algona, Iowa. Following high school graduation, he attended Hawkeye Tech in Waterloo and Iowa Central Community College. Terrance worked at Efco. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and the Iowa Air National Guard, eventually retiring in 1997.
Terrance enjoyed fishing and shooting. He was a member of the American Veterans Post 19 and the Knights of Columbus.
Terrance was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Vickie Dean.
Terrance is lovingly remembered by his children, Tiffany Gomez Medina (John Reid), Holly Dean (Ed Ransom), and Crystal Dean (Erik Ackelson); brothers, Lyle Dean and Richard Dean; sister, Julie Dean; and 11 grandchildren.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Boys Town.
