Chester Christensen Obituary

Chester D. "Chet" Christensen
March 2, 1951 - February 28, 2025
Chet was a son to Nels and Rose; a brother to Roger, Ken, Dave, and Iola; a husband to Kahni for 52 years; a father to Ang, Jennifer, Sarah, and Kent; a Pop-pop to Mikylee Grace, Chase, Alexandria, Charlie, Harrison, Sophia, and Charlotte; a Great Pop-pop to Layla Rose; and lifelong friend to Craig and Kate.
Chet was proud to serve our country as a Sgt. in the Air Force stationed in Germany on the flight line. After his service in the military, he continued to serve his community for 35 years, first as a volunteer, then as a Firefighter/mechanic and Captain for DCFD#2.
Chet filled his life coaching his children in soccer and baseball, spending time with family and friends at hunting camp, fishing at Lake Chelan, boating on the ocean, and was a member of the Lake Chelan Yacht Club for many years. Chet enjoyed ending his day in front of the fireplace with a whiskey Coke, and a challenging game of cribbage with his wife.
Please join us for a celebration of his life to share memories created by a life fully lived. It will be held at the Douglas County Fire Department #2, 377 Eastmont, East Wenatchee, on Saturday, August 2nd, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Light lunch provided.
