With a heart full of love and respect, we acknowledge the passing of John Henry Curbelo, known affectionately as North Breed Johnny, on August 21, 2025. Born in Springfield, MA on February 3, 1978, John was a loving, loyal, humble, and compassionate man who left a lasting impact on everyone he met. John's life was a captivating story of perseverance and passion. He was a proud Springfield native, with a brief period spent in the sunny climes of West Palm Beach, Florida. A skilled engineer by profession, he served diligently at the Hilton Garden Inn. However, his love for car mechanics led him to establish the North Breed Auto Club in May 2017. As the president, he guided the team to numerous victories, including "Team of the Night" and "Biggest Club," a testament to his leadership and dedication. John's love for music infused a unique rhythm in his life, and his family and friends were his greatest treasures. His mantra, "Keep my name alive. Keep this thing alive. We did things they never thought we could do... turn the frown, into a crown. And keep this shit going," encapsulates his indomitable spirit and unwavering resilience. John's memory will be cherished by his loving wife, Gracie Curbelo, his adoring children Sophia, Teresa, Samuel, and Marissa, his father Luis, his brothers Jimmy and Luis, and his precious grandchildren Kayden and Elijah. He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Maria Curbelo. A viewing for John will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Puerta Del Cielo® Funeral Home, located at 730 State Street, Springfield, Massachusetts. John's essence was his immense capacity for love and loyalty, a legacy that will continue to inspire and guide us.
