Christy Pierce Obituary

Christy Ann Pierce, 75 of Federalsburg, Maryland passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Talbot Hospice in Easton, Maryland. Born December 31, 1949, in the former Haaf Hospital, Northampton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Alfred E. Pierce and the late Betty L. (Smith) Pierce. Christy Ann was a 1967 graduate of Easton High School who continued her education earning her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Beaver College (Arcadia), Glenside, PA. She subsequently earned a master's degree in education from Kutztown University. Following graduation, she moved to Federalsdburg, MD accepting an Elementary School Teacher position with the Federalsburg Elementary School in 1971 until retiring from the Caroline County Public School System. Christy Ann enjoyed teaching, it was a great source of pride for her, and she is fondly remembered by many of her former 6th grade FES students. Christy Ann also was a lifetime lover and collector of children's books. Christy Ann made many of friends and was very involved in her community. She was a member of the Federalsburg Lions Club for many years. She is survived by her brothers, Attny. Alfred S. Pierce (Linda) of Northampton, PA and John H. Pierce (Carolyn) of Ridgewood, NJ., nieces, Dianne Pierce O'Brien (Shawn), Jaclyn Pierce Marsh (Kyle), nephew, Steven Pierce (Krystin), six-great nieces and great nephews, as well as family friends John Phillips, Sr., John Phillips,Jr., and Mikie Phillips, Danny and Kim Phillips and Scott and Emily Phillips. A Funeral Service will be held at 5:00 PM Friday August 1, 2025, at Framptom Funeral home, 216 N. Main Street, Federalsburg, MD 21632. Graveside Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family at Zion Cemetery, Kreidersville, PA. Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, PA 18067 has been entrusted with those arrangements.
