Dorothy Ann Jacques "Loving mother, grandmother and friend" Dorothy Ann (O'Loughlin) Jacques, age 90 (and a half), of Thomaston, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on July 29, 2025. She was the beloved widow of David E. Jacques. Dorothy was born January 18, 1935 in Waterbury a daughter of the late James and Margaret (George) O'Loughlin. Dorothy was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School and attended the University of Connecticut. Prior to her retirement, Dorothy worked as a floral designer for the former Wally's Gift Shop in both Waterbury and Wolcott as well as doing wedding arrangements and freelancing for several other local florists for many years. Dorothy was a communicant of Saint Thomas Church where she was also a member of the prayer line. She was a loving wife, mother, aunt and grandmother who will be greatly missed by those who were blessed to know and love her. She leaves her children Christine Jaffer and her husband Frank, Matthew David Jacques and his wife Jill and Jane Jacques with whom she made her home, all of Thomaston, two grandchildren, Nicholas and Andrea Jacques of Thomaston and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends. She was predeceased by a son David Jacques Jr. and her brother James J. O'Loughlin Jr. Arrangements: Funeral services for Dorothy will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 9 AM from Chase Parkway Memorial/Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway Waterbury to Saint Thomas Church to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM. Burial will follow at New Pine Grove Cemetery in Waterbury. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 8 AM until leaving for church at 9 AM.
