Edward Jones Obituary

Edward Jones, 82, of New Haven, Connecticut, passed away on June 28, 2025. Born on August 5, 1942, in Darlington, South Carolina, Edward was a dedicated worker who touched the lives of many throughout his 82 years. In the late 1960s, Edward made the journey from South Carolina to Connecticut, where he would build his life and career. For many years, he worked in manufacturing. Edward found his spiritual home at the First Church of God in New Haven, where he became a faithful and active member, serving as a trustee. Edward is survived by his loving family: son Sean Jones (Tamasha Jones); his grandchildren Ameisha Jones, Shakeele Grandy, and Sean A. Jones; his great-grandchildren Ezra Brown, Ethan Brown and Keele Grandy. He also leaves his brother Wade Jones (Carrie Jones); his sisters Nora Lacks (Alexander Lacks) and Johnnie Greene; a host of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four brothers. Edward leaves a legacy of faithful service to his church and immense love for his family. He will be greatly missed.
