Eleanor Golebiewski Obituary

Eleanor (Lulewicz) Golebiewski, 101, of Newington, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 4, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Thaddeus J. Golebiewski, Sr. Born in Wyoming, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Koszlowski) Lulewicz. Eleanor spent many cherished years in Newington, where she lovingly devoted herself to raising her family and creating a warm and welcoming home. Her greatest joy was caring for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by her gentle spirit and unwavering support. Eleanor had a creative touch and a playful spirit, she loved working with ceramics, playing bingo, and indulging in her favorite treat: chocolate. She is survived by her son Thaddeus J. Golebiewski, Jr., of Maine, three grandchildren, Thaddeus Golebiewski and his wife Valerie, Jennifer Golebiewski, and Rebecca Walton and her fiancé Jay Levesque, and her 10 great grandchildren, Kathleen, Nicholas, Louis, Jessica and her husband Blaine, Aliya, Teddy, Allison, Jayce and Lilly. She was predeceased by her daughter Barbara Walton, great grandson Ricky, four brothers, four sisters and her daughter-in-law, Marcia Golebiewski. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, August 14th, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Duksa Family Funeral Homes at Newington Memorial, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington. All are welcome to gather for a graveside service on Friday, August 15th at 11:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain.
