Joni Jenkins Obituary

Joni Danette (Land) Jenkins, 62, of Keokuk, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at her home in Keokuk. Joni was born on April 18, 1963, in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Chuck and Vye (Bode) Land. She graduated from Keokuk High School in 1982. On June 27, 2005, she was united in marriage to Charles P. "Chuck" Jenkins in Keokuk. He survives. Joni enjoyed watching Nascar, rooting for the Iowa Hawkeyes and bowling. She created beautiful stained glass and was a talented cook, making the best mac and cheese and homemade pizzas. She was funny without realizing it and had a huge heart for everyone. Joni is survived by her husband Chuck Jenkins of Keokuk; her daughter Marisa Roach of Quincy, Illinois; her son Tyler (Lindsey) Roach of Mooresville, North Carolina; her sister Lori Neves of Kahoka, Missouri; her sister Julie (Tim) Breakbill of Keokuk; her stepdaughter Brittne (Rodrigo Gasnarez) Jenkins of Waverly, Iowa; her stepson CJ (Andrea) Jenkins of Wilmington, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. Joni is preceded in death by her parents. A celebration of Joni's life will be held from 2-5 pm on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the Elks Lodge #106 in Keokuk, shareable finger-foods are welcome. Memorials may be directed to the Elks Lodge #106 in Keokuk. To send flowers to the family, please visit our floral store.
