Barry Christopher Schline passed away on March 19, 2026. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 27 at St. Leo Catholic Church, 335 Springdale Ave, Winston-Salem, NC. Memorials may be given to the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House, 101 Hospice Lane, WS, NC 27103 or to the St. Leo School tuition assistance fund. Share condolences through www.salemfh.com.

Barry was part of the RCIA team when I converted to the Church in 1997. My work is in Reynolda Village, where he once worked, and he always remembered me-taking the time to speak whenever our paths crossed. God bless Barry and his family.

Barry was my best friend at ND. We ended up marrying roommates at St. Mary´s and kept in touch over the years. I´m sure he is looking forward to ND football this year. RIP my friend.

I knew Barry for a long time. He was a friendly guy and we connected talking about sports. He was a huge Notre Dame fan and me being a UNC fan we had some lively discussions! RIP Barry!

Barry was my cousin and my Godfather. I recall as a kid and even as a teen how seriously Barry took his role as godfather. Every year he would send me a card with some gift money included. He had no idea how meaningful that was to me. Barry was always very kind and friendly. I regret not getting to spend more time with him. Maureen McCarthy Newberg
