Melinda Lee Trevorrow

Melinda Lee Trevorrow, 81, of Greensboro, North Carolina passed away March 18, 2026, at St. Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, Alabama. Melinda was in Hospice Care near family at the time of her passing. Melinda was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, September 29, 1944, to mother, Jean Davis Lee and father, Roland Gilbert Lee. Melinda attended R.J. Reynolds High School the Class of 1962, and then the UNC Greensboro and graduated with a Bachelor of Art Degree in1966. Melinda has had various careers but was most proud of her time with the Guilford County Historical Society of Preservation as a planner. Melinda is survived by her two sons Richard "Gib" Cobb (Janelle); David Cobb (Shannon); two grandchildren, Gavin Cobb and Jenna Cobb; stepdaughters, Tiffany Rangel (Carlos), Tara Trevorrow; stepson, Shay Trevorrow; step-grandchildren, Colt Rangel and Makenna Rangel. Melinda married the late William "Bill" Trevorrow in Myrtle Beach October 4, 2004, then renewed their vows in the presence of Bill's English family at Worcester Cathedral. Melinda enjoyed reading, music, gardening, her Boykin Spaniels, and spending time with family and friends. Melinda also enjoyed playing in the Christ Moravian Church Band for Easter Sunrise and Funeral services and had over 50 years as a band member and was one of the first female members of the band.

The visitation will be Friday, March 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Salem Funeral & Cremation Service, 120 South Main Street, Winston-Salem and also at Christ Moravian Church from 12:30 to 1 p.m. prior to the funeral service on Saturday, March 28, at 1 p.m. at Christ Moravian Church, 919 Academy Street, Winston-Salem. The burial will be in God's Acre immediately following the funeral.

The family thanks St. Thomas Hospice for their fine care and her friends in their assistance with her care while she was in Greensboro this past year before moving to Alabama to be with family.
