Wanda Faye Shelton, 79, went home to be with her Lord early Wednesday morning, April 1, 2026, at her home.

Wanda was born on March 2, 1947, in Forsyth County to the late Claude and Vera Lunsford Shelton. She was a member at White Roads Baptist Church. Wanda loved her Lord, her church family, and listening to gospel music. Above all else, Wanda adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She would do anything for them and cherished every moment she spent with them.

In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Marion Shelton, Rachel Barbre, Brenda Tesh, and Billie Sue Shelton.

She is survived by her 3 children, Tonya Lee (Kevin), PJ Lucas (Sandy), and Bobby Lucas (Lynn); 5 grandchildren, Jamie Lee, Ashley Christian, Matthew Lee (Heather), Jordan Lucas, and Jamie Lynn Tesh (Travis); her great-grandchildren, Kaylee Christian, Gracie Lee, Lucas Lee, Brodie Sayre, and Mason Sayre; and numerous extended family and friends.

There will be a 2 pm graveside service held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Gardens of Memory, Walkertown with Pastor R.J. McBride officiating.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 6, 2026, from 6 to 8 pm at Burroughs Funeral Home.
