Jon Stanton Hopkins, age 81, of Mason, Ohio passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Anita Hopkins, sister Linda Sparks, and daughter-in-law Dawn Frazier. He is survived by his wife, Carmen (Compton) Hopkins; children, Michael (Ranee) Hopkins, Jay Hopkins, Anita Hopkins, Troy (his late wife Dawn) Frazier, Chuck (Amy) Frazier; grandchildren, Tyler (Caitlyn) Frazier, Maxwell James, Theo James, Dexter James, Gavin Hopkins; 3 great-grandchildren, and siblings Sheryl (Fred Link) Sollars and Jeff Hopkins.
Jon graduated from Kingman High School in 1961, from Wilmington College and received his Masters from Xavier. He coached basketball and was a teacher at Mason High School for 15 years. Jon was a State Farm Agent for 39 years, retiring in 2019.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Fund or the SPCA.

Jon & I played b´ball against each for six years, Blanchester vs Kingman. Great memories.I extend my sympathies to his family and teammates.

Jon...You were more of a big brother to me than a cousin. You always made the time to help me improve my game and encourage me to clean up my act. My game did get better, not sure about my act! I love you and will never forget you.

Carmen: Jon was my classmate at Kingman. Sorry we could not meet in his last few years, I know it was very hard on you. Basketball was "of course" our best time together. I will let the other classmates know. Thanhs for taking care of Jon. Steve Pidgeon
