Mr. Jackie Bryant, Sr., 70, passed away on August 11, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Golden Triangle in Columbus. Jackie was born on February 20, 1955, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to the late John and Rosie Lee Redd Bryant. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-dad, Byron L. Gore, Sr. and three brothers, Quincy, Mason, and Ray Bryant. Jackie grew up in Jonestown, where he married the love of his life, Deborah, on March 2, 1973, and together they shared 52 wonderful years. While living in Jonestown, Jackie worked at the Jonestown Grain Elevator before relocating his family to Aberdeen in 1980. There he continued his life long career of managing and operating Tom Soya Grain elevators at Muldon and West Point and would continue that work for 45 years. He wore many hats during his time at Tom Soya Grain. He was a crane operator, welder, and tugboat captain. You name it and he could do it. He was literally a "jack of all trades." Jackie was dedicated to providing for his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He also enjoyed playing cards, ping pong, pool, and watching old movies and tennis tournaments. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at Calvert Funeral Home in West Point. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with his nephew, Bro. Jimmy Bryant, officiating. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Deborah Hudson Bryant, one daughter, April Danovsky (Shane), three sons, Jackie Lee Bryant, Jr., Jason Bryant, Andy Bryant, all of West Point: five grandchildren, Zane Crosswhite of Hoover, Alabama, Carleigh Danovsky, Ainsley Danovsky, Jack Bryant, and Jadyn Bryant, all of West Point: one great-granddaughter, Rhylen Crosswhite of West Point: two brothers, James Bryant of Pontotoc and Byron Gore, Jr. (Tammy) of Clarksdale: one sister-in-law, Frances Wages of Grenada: one brother-in-law, Jerry Hudson of Alexandria, Louisiana, and a number of nieces and nephews. Honorary Pallbearers will be his co-workers at Tom Soya Grain Company. Memorials may be made to
