Freddie Landers Obituary

FREDDIE LANDERS of Hansford, WV, entered into the arms of his Lord and Savior on February 19, 2025, at CAMC after a long illness at the age of 79.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, James and Virginia Landers; daughter, Lisa; brothers, Carlos and Rick; and sisters, Jewell and Doris.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 43 years, his fur baby Jack, mother-in-law, Patsy; brother in-law, Joey; granddaughter, Ashley; great grandchildren, Max and Miles; brothers, James (Palmira), Karm (Sherry), Dock (Dijana); sisters, Linda, Brenda, and Cindy and a host of nieces and nephews. Also, he was blessed with four godchildren that he loved as if they were his own - Andy, Eddie, Rebecca, and Antonio.
Fred loved attending church at Chesapeake Family Worship Center where he made many friends. Fred loved life especially when he played ball, coached soft ball, fished, and hunted alongside his friends and family. Fred was a selfless man who went through his life helping others. He would take the shirt off his own back for anyone who needed it. Fred never complained and stayed positive during his long illness.
He will surely be missed by everyone who knew him. Our famous quote was: 'You don't give up on Jack and I and we won't give up on you." Fred was a loving man, and we thank him for sharing his life with us.
A special thank you to the staff of CAMC, Dr. Jagannath, and his mother-in-law for taking such great care of him.
Fred's farewell until we see each other again will be held at O'Dell funeral home on February 22, 2025, at 1 p.m., at O'Dell Funeral Home in Montgomery, WV with Pastor Terry Russell officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service. Fred's earthly body will be laid to rest at Green Cemetery Winifrede, WV.
