Rhonda Wright Obituary

Rhonda Renee Wright, 53, of Rupert, passed away, Sunday, August 10, 2025, in the Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, following a short illness. Born December 3, 1971, in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of Anne Hoffer of Rainelle and the late Clyde Hoffer. Rhonda was very loving, joyful, and outgoing. Her calling was serving, she wanted to help anyone who needed her. As such, it was only fitting that she was an organ donor. While Rhonda did not have any children of her own, she was a GREAT aunt to all her nieces and nephews and their children. Rhonda loved the outdoors and spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her husband Marty Wright and her sister Cathy Hoffer. Survivors including her mother are three nephews she was raising, Bentely Master, Brenden Rogers, and Braxton Green; one brother Paul McClung (Brenda) of Meadow Bridge; one sister Elizabeth Clark of Rainelle; and many extended family and friends. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. Please, keep watching this obituary for date, time, and place. Smathers Funeral Chapel is honored to be of service to Rhonda and her family during their time of need. Online condolences may be made at www.smathersfuneralchapelinc.com
